ok a few things

first i'll assume mx83 this is the easiest conversion

1 .The factory fuel pump ABSOLULTEY WILL NOT DO you need AT LEAST 2000cc/ min the factory 7mge flows 1500cc/min (at best).

i have heard of people getting away with one but as soon as you can get a in-tank supra pump costs about $250

use this formula KW(at engine) times 8= cc/minute

a bog stock 1j makes 208 kw so 208 * 8= 1664 cc/miniute

this formula has a little bit of a sfety factor

so the factory fuel pump will JUST cut it . MAYBE !!!

220kw 2 wheels = about 282 kw at engine 282 * 8 = 2250 cc/min

so a 2.5 lpm pump would be best suited

the other problem is hot fuel if your pump flow is too slow recycling to the tank the fuel in the rail heats up too easily hot fuel = less power but most of all more likely to detonate

one guy brought a pinging jza70 to me after fitting FMIC etc it still pinged .

i told him it was the pump...new pump no ping and the factory pump in those has VERY good flow .

a 4.5 LPM pump for a supra is available ex us for about $250 AUD

otherwise draven is pretty much spot on

JUSTIN please do not give advice on a conversion YOU obviously have NOT done people read this shit then go and do it

im not putting shit on you but it is important to know what your talking about before you post this shit

ok chaser half cut $2500-$3000 asian autos
factory FMIC bolts on as does all plumbing (assuming mx83 cressida) if not it will fit with a little work

chaser crossmember bolts in ...no custom mounts

if you go auto no tailshaft or gbox mounts .but you will need for manual

$1,200 for exhaust $450 for twin pipes
aftermarket intercooler is MUCH better but factory can still get an auto Cressida running HIGH 12 's

BOV is a waste of time and illegal in NSW .the factory BOV works fine .

boost control well mine is around $250 and i have run 4.8 0-100 @ 15 psi with it(normally 5.3 still @15 psi)

NO need for a rising rate fuel reg if your going to run an interceptor .In fact the only reason for the fuel reg is to use a tuning tool .by actually leaning out the fuel .buying both is silly
BUT IT WILL MAKE AROUND 10 or 15 H.p @ wheels so ditch the crappy POS apexi and run a fuel reg or fuel reg bleed or my fuel controller ..cuts boost cut and leans fuel out to around 12 psi

personally i belive all interceptors are a complete waste of money ive NEVER seen one make more than 10 HP YET!!!!!

a draven said engineering no more than $500 and is $350 at MANY places

factory mx83 brakes will cut it ...good pads machine disks etc
IF not just fit the chaser brakes they bolt in and where good enough for the chaser

suspension ..ummmm well id rebuild the stock and whack in a sway bar .with my 1&1/2 lowered kings and kyb it sure handles great but the softer factory rear end had MUCH more traction

the factory auto is NOT difficult to wire if youve got ANY idea
( i havnt but sixworks has)

With intake and exhaust mods and boost turned up to 12psi, you should make somewhere around 220rwkw. Not bad for the old Cressi!

i fucking wish to get 220 rwkw you will need twin pipes 16 psi big FMIC ,fuel system mods(lean it out a bit) a 3.5 inch system or a punched cat . a damn good cold air system . and a few tricks Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy not that i know any Razz

your not far off but at 12 psi your looking at about 175 rwkw and thats with twin pipes .more like 160 without

Just look at the results of the last toymods dyno day

a full budget and how to do is on my webpage link below

Finally manual for burnouts drifting etc or for fun!!

Auto to go faster...MUCH faster about 1/2 second 0-100
