Dont run synthetic oil either. Use mineral, something like GTX3. Thats what I run, synthetic doesn't give you enough oil pressure cause its too thin and isn't the right oil to use on an older enjine like the 7MGTE.
synthetic oils dont have to be thinner. you can get plenty of grades that would be suitable.
