Demuire, maybe you're right man, it's been a while since i educated myself on offsets, so you're probably right. I woz selling some 17X7 american racing rims which had a 44mm offset, so musta been +44.. so my +8mm won't stick out that much, but would on a FWD car..
If you got time one weekend, feel free to cruise by and try em on.
Supra Man - yeah man - i got no priors of any kind (speeding etc), no claims.
I went to almost every insurance company in Australia I reckon.. LOL.. Cuz the rims are special order they simply say hell no.. not for an 83 celica or an 84 Supra 
My favorite woz JustCars Car Insurance who wanted $2500 for my celica per year, with a $2000 excess.. insured to the value of $5000.. LOL
Everywhere I went to get my car insured with the 16X7 rims said they wouldn't touch it if I had those rims on.. I guess with the car worth $5000, the rims are worth half that already, so to replace them would be a dint in their pocket which they didn't wanna wear. I tried suncorp, aami, nrma, allans, just cars.. etc etc etc.. u name it i've asked em'..
All up I've spent over 10Gz on the celica after I bought it and they'd only insure it for $5000 max. Feels like a huge waste of money now
