I got around mine by fitting a custom 1 piece drive shaft. Bear in mind though that I have both a 4AGE and rear disc diff at both ends so at least the splines match up.

im a bit confused, what happens if you swap to a 4AGE motor but still have a 2 piece tailshaft? the splines wont match up?
sorry, its a bit early in the morning to be asking questions
