Why put 6x9's in unless you have already purchased them. I had a set of supposedly top sony ones in my car and they didnt preform real well at all. I now hava a set of 6 inch clarions and a small sub in the boot much better sound with no hole cutting. The parcel rack is actually classed as a structural part of that car and adds to the stiffness of the shell etc.
But everybody cuts holes in them so each unto his own i say.
