MX73-1JZ Occasional Poster Registered: March 2003	Re: 1JZ conversion Fri, 28 March 2003 04:08 Hello, I am putting a 1JZ-GTE into a MX-73 Cressida and here are a few problems we have come accross.. * Requires custom engine mounts * Requires custom gearbox mounts * The standard dash is cable and the new is electronic * The cost keeps on going up every few mins when another problem is found. * The battery has been moved to the boot * There is minimal room between the engine and cooling fan * The computer requires the fluid cooling fan. * The tailshaft needs to be shortened and strengthened * A few small mounts need to be made for the cooling reserve, power steering, engine computer, etc. All these small things add up to a bit of a headache. But should be worth it once the thing is running. We used a JZX-90 Chaser for the doner. Cheers, MX73-1JZ [Report message to a moderator]
