I have a 1990 4 runner 2.4 litre petrol (22R).I am looking into putting a turbo or supercharger on it.Im NOT looking for a 22psi wheelstanding monster,Im after a good performance upgrade without going to the extreme as its a daily driver as well as a weekend explorer.what is better for this application,turbo or supercharger?.What psi should i be aiming for as i chasing about 30 -50 extra horsies(more is better but)? Has a kit been made? Can i use bits and peices from different engines? Whats the dollor value for this upgrade.
I have considered fitting a holden V6 but am not wanting another hybrid car(other is a jag with chev)and feel that it would lead to driveline problems.
