Spacers are a "Bad Idea"(tm) in almost every situation. If you bought the rims from a store, then you should take them back and get the correct ones for your car. If you bought them second hand....

The best (and only really safe way) to fix this sort of problem is get the rims with the correct offset.

Plenty of people use spacers, but more important than them being illigal, they arnt the safest way to fix the problem. Many a wheel stud has broken because of bad use of spacers.
