On y car the engine bay and front end is all Stick welded. All the seams on most cars are just Spot welded. This type of welding allows alot of body twist and flex.
My old girl is stiched on ALL the seams in the engine bay ! I'll try find you a pic.
On a rally or serious road car you would Stich weld ALL the seams that are Spot welded.
