Garry,
Saw your post on classic celica too. Seriously don't bother with the standard stuff, it's absolute crap and costs too much. Put a standard exhaust manifold on drive it in naturally aspirated form until you can afford to do the conversion you want, it will drive suitably without the turbo. I have regularly used T28's and T3's on my own custom built manifolds for 3TGTE's to good effect!
