2T-G's have fairly long duration cams from the factory, so yes you would expect a bit of snap crackle and pop with a stock engine... especially if it has a free-flowing exhaust fitted. I know that mine did an awful lot of that back in the day, and in fact it was rather good at spitting flames also!
