Er... they were never sold here either.

As for why it's an easier conversion... the 1JZ and 2JZ are essentially the same engine design. The "JZ" refers to the design of the engine. The "1" and the "2" refer to the generation of the motor. The 1JZ is the first generation of that motor. The 2JZ is the second generation of the same thing - so you can unbolt one and bolt in the other.

Hence being able to swap gearboxes between them Smile

The 7M is completely different motor (ie. the 7th generation of the M-series engine) so it's a completely different design, shape, and mounting setup.
