Cheers guys, but I wont be able to use the standard extractors. The engine in the buggy is in the back so the standard ones face the wrong direction, and the muffler will sit at the same height as the rocker to give better ground clearance. so - itll be made to suit.
I'm planning on going 10mm larger diameter pipe, tuned length, 4 into 1 going into a 3 inch pipe with a straight through muffler. The overall linear length will be about 2 meters from head to tip. Can anyone pick any faults with this setup? Im a bit concerned there may not be enough back pressure. Im not after massive revability, rather it needs to pull strong in mid range so Im really after torque.
I do want to get away with using the same extractors on both the 4AG and the 20v - Ill be spending the weekend in workshops with an old exhaust gasket comparing between small and large port heads and the 20v to make sure.
As for Bob and Jasons truck - its definately coming along. Engine (nissan V6), gearbox, diff all mounted, suspension being finalised, panels have all been modified to suit. Its definately going to be one serious unit. Mind you, I know another guy who is currently building the same chassis truck but 6 inches wider track with a VERY serious full house 351+ clevland shoehorned into it, TH700 and a Dana 60 (12 inch?) diff. Its a work of art!
Mind you, he had all this running gear in a F150 last year and our 4 cyl still beat his arse at every race!!! ha ha!
