Thinking about it again now, you don't need to take the head off, your right.
As for cooler air I meant bigger/better intercooler, re do the hoses to it (esp the hose that goes from the inner guard to the intake manifold as its squashed to get through the hole in the guard).
3in exhaust (dump pipe back) will be a definate help.
The Mk3 supras have a cold air intake system that dumps cold air where your airbox sits (and where my pod filter is kinda stuffed into), if you made a sealed box over that hole then it'd be a great cold air system.
