Has anyone noticed in the first pic that little thing above the number plate??? Something cardboard and yellow??? Thats right... She was on her L's with a turbo RX3 with around 300kW at the rears with the brand new 13B that just went in to it...
The car was insured under 3rd party... So she will get what ever she sells the car for...
I'm not exactly sure whats happening with the car... I hope that they decide to fix it...

If it was the other woman's fault, doesn't she have to pay for all the damages to the RX3? If she doesn't, I say sue until your friend gets the money to fix the car.
Cheers,

dont mean to step on any toes here but i am against provisionary drivers with high horsepower cars. i think its a really bad combination. 300kw at the wheels seems to be a bit TOO much for a P plater, and just borderline insanity on a learners permit.
didnt mean to discriminate or anything but experience makes a good driver. luckily rachel wasnt at fault this time, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. but an over abundance of power used in the wrong situation can be unforgiving.
just take it easy out there people

Rachel has never driven the car in any stupid way... Infact, I have only see it sideways once and that was off the line to show some lebs that it had the balls...
So yeah, she is very cautious about the car...

Yeah... It's got a B&M Quickshifter I think... Some sort of quick shift anywayz...
Jag7799, Rachel ran into the side of the other car... So yeah... They will be paying for all the damages...
Allan, Rachel's b/f Trent built the car for her... Rachel told Trent what she wanted and this was exactly that... She has never opened the throttle up full... She is not that stupid... She is an excellent driver and has been driving this puppy for around 6 - 8 months I think... Trent wouldn't have built the car if he thought that she would kill herself in it... She may have a suicidal car but she is no suicidal driver...
Sprintr, was the dude asian??? He must've been to have an R34 GTR on red p's... Was he doing something silly???

Anyone else notice the continual references to Asian people as though they have a mortgage on bad driving? Yes, I concede that the woman in this story did drive badly; however, my wife (who, you guessed it, happens to be Asian) is as good or better a driver - as in defensively - as most people on this forum. In fact, given that she's been driving longer than the majority of you, I'd say her experience gives her something of an edge...
My point? There are plenty of lame-asses around who frankly couldn't drive a finger up their arse...and surprise, surprise, they are not all Asian.
/end rant.
BTW. Shame about the RX. Looked like a very decent thing.

*points at the indian vs asian bitch thread*
why? because I've had too many asian (women mostly) drive spastically around me and almost kill me or some else. Of course it's a generalisation, and of course it does not represent the entire asian female population (your wife included, it seems).
besides, max and les will admit their genes are against them

Attempted Car Jacking
Hunt for attempted carjackers
October 3, 2003
POLICE are appealing for help from the public after an attempted carjacking in Sydney's north-west overnight.
Police said a Nissan GTR sports sedan was idling at a set of traffic lights on Pittwater Road at Gladesville, when it was bumped from behind by a blue Subaru WRX sedan.
When the 32-year-old driver of the Nissan got out of his car to check for damage, he was approached by three men armed with baseball bats and an axe.
The 32-year-old ran from the scene, while the men from the WRX returned to their vehicle and drove away.
Police said the incident happened at around 9.50pm on the intersection of Pittwater and Ryde Roads.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

I am in no way being racist or putting all the blame on Asians... There are as many bad drivers that are aussie or any other nationality as there are Asian - Too many ...
Sprintr, I heard about that today... Was that the Red R34 then??? Or are they different cases??? Cause I dunno what a 32 year old man would be doing with red P's...

New news...
The final quote for damage for the car when extensively looked at came to $12,500... They got a $10,500 payout and the car is almost completed... Engine bay has been resprayed and the car will be resprayed a brighter colour...

I learnt to drive in a 1968 landcruiser with a holden 253 V8 it was only 14 and we did have a farm but it still could have been leathal if used wrongly but my dad taught me how to drive and had full trust in me and now i've got a sports car with alot more power than the old V8 and my parents know i'm not going to do anything stupid to endanger myself or my friends sure i do a bit of drag racing every now and then and hook it sideways at like 40kms an hour but i'm not about to b fangin around at 200 plus kays trying 2 show off to my mates . I'm gunna give my kid what ever i can afford to give him and teach him well cuz i no if i treat him right he will trust me and i will b able to trust him .
Altho there was the guy who had his p's for a week and 1 nite he got his gf to sneak out and they were gunna go down 2 the beach and u no , anyway this dickhead chalenged him to a race so the young bloke took it the back of his car got swiped BANG right into a tree they both died instintly he was only 17 and she was 16 so as a 18 year old i understand both sides of the argument it's the driver not the age give a p plater sum old shitter and they could kill themselves in that too . And ease up on the asians . i no a fair few asians who r wicked drivers .

what is worse is P platers killing other innocent people while doing stupid things. I have a cousin that was killed in a supermarket by a 17 yr old in a shopping centre carpark when they were only 8 years old...run over by an idiot going an estimated 70km/h in the carpark showing off to mates.

If anyone is ever in an accident and not at fault, thier 3rd party insurance company should handle a claim for you. They get their money back from the driver at fault.
When my mazda was written off, i was with suncorp and they waived the entire excess and wrote off the car.
Having to negotiate the excess for days before is beside the point.

Ouch that gotta hurt. At least everything worked out ok.
I am not being racisit. I have a number of great friends that are Asians and they are all good to great drivers. But having lived around Epping/Eastwood most of my life, it's a sad fact of life that they are crappy drivers for the most part. The problem is two fold in my opinion, but I cannot be bothered to go into, but through experience i have found that if there is a car going 10k's below the speed limit, or someone cannot park properly, or pulls out in front of you like a maniac, there is a much better than even chance that it will be an asian.
I just want to say again, that I am in no way raisist, it's just my experience that this is the case. This does not make me consider asians as worse or whatever, just that they continually frustrate me on the road.
