sounds fine, how much is a head worth to you??. I have found a couple of engines already but they are too dear for just the bottom half I want for a 7AGE 20V project.

Terry, I think you'll have some catching up on my 20V 7AGE So far I've got the lot!! And Well on the way to building it... why do you want an OZ spec? The bottom ends are the same.
Well if it's any help, to anyone, Andrew V had of 7A's for sale ($1500 for 2) he may still have them... contact him on cvap@bigpond.com

I have an import, with all the T-vis gear, injectors and manifold for it... I won't be using it, so I'm open to offers...
Also you won't get that rocker cover, just a plain old standard one...

could yu look at the port and tell me if its an 8 port or 4 port.
Im after the 4 port. it should NOT have holes on the head for the injectors.. my guess is they are on the manifold.

Well, the one in the pic is a 8 port, which I have only found on jap imports... I do have a couple of Oz versions, both have been prepared for race use. One is in getting serviced for a rebuild, the other is currently on the car. So I would be asking At least $800 for it... Head only!... and I won't budge on that either.

Well to put it in prospective, the Car, an AE102 Corolla, under Rally rules must use the engine that was homologated under CAMS and FIA rules. Since there is no papers around for the FX-GT version (2 Door RV Seca), so a 20V is out of the question, the 7A must stay as produced and sold here, unless a FX-GT is produced in front of them in material form. And @ $9K+ I'm not prepared to do so, when I can buy an EX-ralliart EVO3 ready to race for $11,500 from Jap, an Have done so.... Now at $2500 to produce and prepare a head, the engine, with the bottom end costing $5,000, due to the amount of custom parts needed,ie head work- special sisscor verier gears designed by myself, shim under buckets, Stainless valves, CC'd etc.., Bottom end- forged JE pistons (12.1 comp), foating pins on Forged custom rods, Nitrided Crank, Dry Sump, etc so that the Thing can sit all day a the 7500 RPM redline and produce over 100Kw at the wheels on Elf Racing, I really think $800 is Bargain, don't you? Mind you this is the new engine that will be fitted, Not the current 250 Nm, 88Kw@wheel one I'm running Now and winning the Group 7 Championship, And not the Blue printed Group N (60Kw) version I ran in '99 to Win N3 in NSW Rally... If this was a 20V 4/7A and I spent this, I hate to think what... How bout 300BHP @ the fly wheel! Trust me my 20V is just a test engine, the real one is on the Drawning/pricing stage, and it won't be a 1.8L either

Could someone tell me what the difference is between the 8 port and 4 port? I'm new to it, and seeing as I have a 7A-FE I'd like to know. I'm guessing here, but is it, one intake port per intake valve (8 port) and one intake port per two valves per cylinder (4 port) ????
