Was driving along and i see this prelude with 16s come next to me, we both decide to give it and yeah i was keeping up with him, he was gaining a TINY little notch (about 1/3 of a car length) while vtec was kickin in...
Got up to the next set of lights and yeah wound down the other window, and yeah had a chat to him, asked me "what have ya done to that thing man", in reply i said "yeah mate just stock,", It was a 94 prelude VTI-R with VTEC, his was a manual..
Asked him if he wants to give it a run, and yeah he was up for it... Was pretty cool to be able to have a chat at the lights, he was a nice bloke!! He had an exhaust as well!
So yeah up goes the revs, to about 3 grand, lights turn green and Bam off goes the clutch, got a bit of spin and yeah by the other side of the intersection i had 1 car length in front, got a real hard take off going, got traction quite well but still had a nice hard take off. And yeah won the race hehehe.. By the end it was about 2 car lengths in front at about 100kms an hour
After a thumbs up from both drivers we made our own ways!!!
All this in a st162, 1986 year, advanced timing 16 degrees, k&n filter, and some decent tyres...
Bloody hell though VTEC looked awesome, could see him edging up hahaha, but yeah GO TVIS TOO hehehe
Gonna try get a bit more out of the 3sge i reckon... So much potential.
GOOOO TOYOTA

With a car like that (Prelude) performance mods can sometimes slow ya down. You need to make sure all the mods are tuned in correctly otherwise you'll just lose power. I'm surprised that a ST162 could beat one. Perhaps you're a better driver than you though? Or perhaps he just sucks.
