pajeros in manual are very torquey and the short wheel base 1 i had held an xr6 manual to 120 side by side

the t-18 kept up with a st185 today, so theres a slightly better example

i kept up with the fwd celica that looks the same as a gt4.
played with the cams a bit since my embraissing defeat from the pajero, goes much better now

Mmmmm.... maybe I was a little confusing there.
I mean that the celica was most likely a ST184 which has a 5sfe engine of 2.2l capacity since you mentioned it was a FWD.
Same 4 cylinder engine as the camry (widebody), of the same era.

Little off the topic but was wondering does the Celica 5SFE have a different engine management? Just my dad celica recommends premium fuel and my friends Camry recommends just unleaded fuel?

As far as I know they use the same engine management system. The premium fuel is suppose to have an higher octane rating then normal unleaded, so therefore giving you a slightly better fuel economy and a slight increase in performance.
