Cool - I'll see how it goes, although knowing how other languages usually are I'm picturing something stupid happening like in those dodgy comedy movies where the subtitle says 'Bernadette reminds me of your mum in bed' or something and the guy starts swearing at me

kwai loh!!
Does that mean white devil? I was at a chinese restaurant with my cousin years ago,who speaks fluent cantonese, taiwanese and some other really hard to speak asian language, anyways we were at the restaurant when the two people taking the order, started to talk between themselves saying how we were stupid anglo somthing and then used some aparent common name like what white people may use to asians like gook or somthing racist like that(which aparently means white devil),anyways all of a sudden after the order was taken he askes to see the manager,im like WTF,he then cuts sick at the manager in asian, who then brings the girl over and cuts sick at her in front of us and gets her to appologise to him in mandarin or whatever the language was(sorry for my ignorance)the manager was really trying to keep us there but my cousin just explained he did not want to dine with such racist somthing or other...well that was his translation after I asked him to explain what the fukk they were talking about and WTF went on Pretty funny anyways, but must say it does always shit me how the racist call only ever seems to be applied to white people, like the bad ass fanaticals in Indonesia who want to blow up all western targets are called extreemists instead of dirty racist scum..hahahaha sorry for the hijak,

a DIRECT translation would mean "ghost guy", dont ask y.
but what it actually means is "white guy". the racist remark is not that word u had in restaurant. kwai loh just means white guy, just clearing it up for u.
yup indonesians are extremist but not all of them. most of those that come here are the chinese indonesians, who are hated by majority of the native indos as well.
one more thing, pls dont generalise things so easily. there are a handfull of racist white ppl as well, doesnt mean all white ppl are racist. im asian and i have respect for white ppl as well and i hope u white guys dont bring ur racist remarks to a toyota forum. let out ur racist side in a racist forum!!

theres a thread about the racism of indo-chinese and native indos on another forum i was looking at earlier. it showed gruesome pics of chinese ppl beaheaded/tortured/raped etc from the 1998 indo riots or something. sorry for the hijack, it is just a coincidence you are talking about this as i was looking at the pics earlier today.

Yeh no racism was intended infact i dont think any of what I said could be interpreted that way, thats why I said the bad ass fanaticals in Indonesia, rather than the indonesians,or those indonesians. I feel the same way about the label, "Muslim extreemists" cause really they should just be called racist biggots as nothing they do represents Islam...Anyways I didnt want to turn this into a racism/current world affair thread, just thought id share a funny story about some people saying things under what they thought was the cover of their own language...You should have seen the girls face when my cuz was cutting sick at the manager...priceless!!!

I think they must have shortened it somewhere down the lines.
