Hi a friend has put petrol into where the engine oil is meant to go in her lawn mower ...
what is the fix to this (apart from taking to a shop?)
Can I buy engine flush for the mower, and then put do as for a car ?
Will this work ?

drain petrol from crankcase (drain hole will be under engine somewhere) refill with new mower oil
petrol will have done a fine-and-dandy job flushing/cleaning the crankcase.

How do we know it wasn't you who really put the fuel in the oil filler hole and are blaming it on a girl, Les?

And most likely the mower will have an oil change that's probably 10 years overdue.
Just remember, a 4 stroke mower engine is really no different to the engine in your car. Remember they have air filters and sparkplugs too.
