BBQ CRUSE SUNDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2005

okay, here goes.
a "last cruse of this summer" event.
Cruse entails crusing from Karrinup, via freeway (poly pipe)
up to Kalamunda, then Mundaring weir road to Mundaring 'Sculpture Park'
for a BBQ and a chat etc.
all car lovers (not only toyota  ) are welcome to come along.
Meet: Karrinup Shopping Centre carpark. 12noon.
Departure: 12:30pm Sharp.
You will need to bring: BBQ Stuffs.. bread, meat, onions, oil, utensils, drinks, etc
there is some limited seating/tables at the park, enough to seat about 8odd people, so a blanket may be a good idea.
2 large, free, electric BBQ plates there available for cooking.
Method:
Meet at karrinup shopping center carpark, carpark near the 'woolworths' sign. corner karrinyup road, and francis av.
taking Karrinyup Road to Mitchell Freeway South.
tunnel.. turn off gt eastern hwy
gt eastern hyw bypass
kalamunda road
up to kalamunda shops carpark, corner of mead st and railway rd.
mundaring weir road to mundaring - sculpture park, corner of maddock st and jacoby st.
parking along jacoby street.
thats about 70odd kms.
hang around, eat, chat, etc
breakup whenever the time is right, and take it from there 
Hope to meet some new cool toymodders from perth!

Simple.. as long as people know where we are ending up, then it should be ok. Its a simple point A to point B run, so don't really need a map eh?..
So far I think the 27th is free for me - so i should be there. I'll pass on the word to others, generate some interest.

im bringing a mate in my car, and might make some more mates come along in another car...
if anyone needs anything hauled along.. bring it to the meet point and just chuck it in the back of the van... chairs, tables etc. etc.
should be fun, hopefully the weather wont be shit like it has been lately...
ill be brining sausages and hot dog buns

if there is any need for maps, that should not be a problem..
it is pretty easy. none of the cruses I have been on have had anymore than textual turn left, turn right 'map'.
I am going to leave it to peoples own devices to print etc, instead of printing out too many/not enough and wasting resources!

I think there are at least three qualified chefs (whose who spoke up about this matter).
I don't mind turning other peoples stuff if I happen to be standing there cooking my own
oh, I failed to mention about the danger of drop bears.. it is mundaring after all you know.
they attack single females, dropping from the trees.
so any single ladies coming on the cruse, it would be best to hang around near myself for protection from these nasty natives!

well, speaking for myself, i ran out of time to get myself organised - meat wise and other bbq stuff.
anyway, damo was the latest not the sprinters
i had fun, surprised at the amount of ae86's.
plus those celica/supras are really starting to grow on me - they look pretty tough seem to go hard too.
but yeah, it did seem to be like 2 separate cruises at the same time. 1 for sprinters and one for everything else
plus - bloody traffic

Setsuna: Soz, but it seemed like my family ate all the steaks for dinner the night before and didn't leave any for the BBQ. So meh, I had nothing else to bring, and I didn't feel right asking for food off other people

The hills were alive with the sound of toyotas!
We need to run through those hills more often, mmmmmm that roundabout gave a nice opertunity for switchbacks.... 
good to meet up with a few old faces and a cpl new ones....
