Is that just anodising wear or metal wear?

The anodising has been worn off and there is a very small amount of metal wear. You can feel it but it looks flat if you look across it.

I figured the only way to get rid of these things without any possible bad feeling was to give them away.
That way if/when they do wear out then its ok, because they were free.
SO thats what i did.
