I'd say truckies double clutch due to the lack of synchro's in their gearboxes?
And many old men probably cant break the habit of learning to drive in a car with a non synchro-mesh car
Going by my recent history, i'd be due for a H plate on my bike

Now only if they asked a hoon??
How about we get some legal meets at legal tracks sometime more often than once a freakin year??
Or how about we get some more training for the learner peeps?
How about you fat fuckin lazy mother fuckers that keep puttin the under 25's down get off yo pimply arses and do something a fuckin bout it.
You god damm, fat, lazy, shit slingin, kiddie porn watchin, fat mother fuckers, if you cant do ya fuckin jobs get the fuck out and let somebody capable do it. Nazi fucks

how many people here have actualy tryed driving a roadranger/ non-syncro box, its no fun! a large percentage of truckers actualy dont use the clutch at all except for taking off, you feel the gears and adjust the engine revs to match the input shaft speed (nightmare)

Agree with that. I took my driving test in a Land Rover and they tried to fail me for doubling till I told him to try it. Quite funny with a driving tester kangarooing 2ton of landie down the street with acompanying grinds.

if u can double clutch properly it means your a good driver. u can change gears according to engine revs which means your in tune with it. and yeh truckies do it cos they have like 24 gears lol or so my uncle does

Allan is correct, driving a non-syncro, or "crash-box" as they are sometimes called, isn't all sunshine, rainbows, and lollipops. I guarantee you 99.8% of drivers would absolutely shit themselves if they tried to drive a HR or HC truck.

the actual today tonight said (due to the fact i watched it)
to bring down the amount of "hoon" drivers (aka idiots drifting in the main streets) if the police catch you or someone dobs you in you will be issued a H plate or hoon plate
this just noftify's people that you have been caught driving irrationaly and if normally peopel driving around catch you doing it again they can dob you in and your license will go bye bye
its just ment to help all us p platers and under 25's to settle down and stop acting like dickheads...another reason they wanna take away our right to drive turbo's supercharged and v8's
i dont think having a H plate will really stop you doing it though will probably encourage it as you will be offically laballed as a "hoon"

What stops someone that doesn't like you dobbing you in without you doing anything at all a couple of times just so you loose your linece!!!!
It should only be IF you get caught by the cops doing something stupid, not that I agree with this type of thing on the street

Yep. actually in most cases if you use the clutch in a roadranger box while driving you will clash the gears.
When I learned to drive, no gear box was syncro so you had to double the clutch to get a smooth change.
And it might surprise you that even your gear boxes today can be changed without the clutch if you listen to your engine and change with the revs. I drive a auto now, but still to this day if I drive a manual I double the clutch.
P.S So wheres my "H" plate?

I want a H plate just for the sake of having it. Plus to fuck up the stupid proposed system. I've got no strikes against my license for the ~13 years I've been driving, and it would look very suss indeed if I suddenly started to get complaints......
And at least you'll know who's keen for the tlgp now.
