OK, Getting melancoly.
Rules: Post 2 to 3 lines from a song. Line can't include the title of the song. Guess song and artist. Correct guess allows you to list the next lines.
I'll start.
I touch you once, I touch you twice, I won't let go at any price.

Dunno if this is right...
Children Of Bodom, Needled
Anyway guess the song, note this isn't the lyrics but a sample used at the start of the song.
Bonus points for guessing the movie where it's from
Quote: | This is my rifle.
There are many like it, but this one is MINE.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
My rifle without me is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.

Hi,
Here's a few for the old 70's rockers.....
Song #1 (easy - it was a big hit)
You do look plain, in the falling rain
I drive a Rolls Royce, 'cos it's good for my voice
Song #2 (not as easy - but was a minor hit)
Friday night they'll be dressed to kill
Down at Dino's Bar & grille
Song #3 (big hit - pretty easy)
When they pulled you out of the oxygen tent
You asked for the latest party
Song #4 (shit easy - do u know your old rock bands?)
You need coolin' baby, I'm not foolin'
Go back to schoolin', way down inside
Song #5 (oh god, how easy am I making this for you!)
I met a gin-soaked bar-room queen in Memphis
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride
Song #6 (at least get this one or you're just not in the game!)
Desmond had a barrow in the market place
Molly is the singer in a band

here's an easy one. ill give u a clue the rapper was black and is now dead.
I see no changes wake up in the morning and I ask myself
is life worth living should I blast myself?
I'm tired of bein' poor & even worse I'm black
my stomach hurts so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch.

#3: Year of the scavanger, season of the bitch (better line than the one you chose) Timbaland, diamond dogs (shamefully, I know that because of moulin rouge)
#1: But you won't fool the children of the revolution! Violent Femmes. don't actually know waht the song is called.

Hi,
Yeah Drav-baby, you got them. Mind you I prefer the original Children of the Revolution by TRex and the original Diamond Dogs by Bowie.
The song you guys didn't get was "The Boys are back in Town" by Thin Lizzy.
As Darth Vader would say... "Impressive. Most impressive"

well, I'm owed 3 songs - and since I'm a bit disillusioned about women in general at the moment, let's go for some misogynistic and/or melancoly songs... I'll stick with fairly well known bands, and not delve off into obscurity (and I just listened to the Bowie version, which I actually own, and yes it is better)
1) "Shed a tear 'cause I'm missing you, I'm still alright to smile. Girl I think about you every day now." Easy one to start with. recorded 1998 in 1 take by a band all sitting in the same room!
2) "There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ship's smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying" (anyone with good taste in old rock will get this in about 5 seconds - but it's one of my faves)
3) " Where can I go to feel
Like I'm alive again
Show me the places
Where I can forget your name
I can't find anything
Except a void inside"
tougher one.
4(I'm having one more)) "I don't wanna die,
But I ain't keen on living either.
Before I fall in love,
I'm preparing to leave her.
I scare myself to death,
That's why I keep on running.
Before I've arrived, I can see myself coming."

May not be classified as a 'classic' by River, draven or the p00 man, but it's still one of my favourites..
"Where you are thats where I want to be
And through your eyes are all the things I want to see
In the night you are my dreams
You’re everything to me
...
...
I cant forget the taste of your mouth
From your lips, the heavens pour out
I can’t forget when we are one
You and I am free"
*Its more than 2-3 lines, but yeah...*
