today i went to work only taking my rally car instead of the pajero so off i went not realising the bonnet pins were not in place 300m down the road and the bonnet flys up lucily hitting the roof vent and not the roof it self and the windscreen
as i pulled over to a very abrupt stop i noticed 3 guys playing golf on the left stunned and i got out to access the damagemy bonnet was a v shape not closing correctly and very embarrased i had to put my foot on the bonnet and bend it back and luckily i managed to get it back into the pin holes
as i looked over my sholder to take off i noticed them 3 guys pissing themselves laughing so i had a laugh to my self realising it could have been a lot worse
just have to get a new bonnet now i suppose
"any ideas where to get 1 "

Why didnt you keep the normal bonnet catch there. afterall, the pins are there to keep what happened, NOT to happen! If you get what i mean.

the point of having bonnet pins is so the catch does not need to be used. in the event of a fire marshalls can open the bonnet from the outside of the car. if the catch was in place, this would be difficult
