hey all my diff went today i belive.
what fun, so i was wondering does any one know how easy it is to swap over the crapy open wheeler/drumbrake back end to the MA61 set up at the back like for example if i pulled everything of from the drive shaft back including brakes and arms and everything will the supra diff centre arms and brakes all bolt up into the same place or do i have to weld and get dirty.
and if anyone has the whole set up from a MA61 for sale let me know if you want to sell it and if you will ship or if your in adelaide even better.
cheers

You will also need a MA61/RA65 Drive shaft (rear section) as it is longer.
|
Don't you mean shorter, given that the T-series diff isn't as long?

at u pull it down south ther is a crown there with the same sub frame as the ma61. as it has disks but no lsd this would be a good brake up grade for the sa63
then just have a look around for a lsd
i might be able to get one for a good price but the clutchs will need to be tighten up

I highly doubt the Crown subframe will be the same as the MA61. Like the MX73 Cressida, it will be close, yet subtley different. The F-series centre will not bolt to the T-series subframe, they are different. Your best bet is still to get the entire MA61 rear subframe, or if you are worried about cost, as an interim measure, get an RA65 subframe and get an LSD later.

Or if you just want to fix the car, get another SA63 diff and bolt it in. Should be cheap as chips from the wreckers.
The RA65 diff is an F series, same as the MA61, so it won't bolt it.
