My little Escort. Mon, 14 November 2005 07:57 Go to next message
Hi, thought I'd chuck my car up here. Not exactly a Toyota, but I'm looking for a 4AGZE to put into it. Whole setup will be Toyota, already have the Celica 5spd and waiting for a decent Hilux diff to come up. Still deciding whether to use Superlites or Simmons.
Should be fun when it's finished. Very Happy

keep the pinto motor... it will go harder than a GZE and there are millions of parts for them available....

right down to injection manifolds for that turbo setup that would go so well.

Please explain ???

How do you make a pinto ford 2.0ltr motor go better than a 4agze without spending a fortune ???
I have owned 4 escorts with 2.0 pinto engines over the years and love them but cannot see how you could advise that this engine is superior to a 4agze.

Would love to know, thanks.

I'd like to know too...thats why i still have a gutted mark 2 shell sitting in my garage. Its cheaper to go drifting with the cressida than it is to build up a pinto for rallying ffs!

Thanks for the advice guys. A friend is looking to sell his 4AGTE, putting out about 300rwhp so that should be fun. Not sure if that will go in this car or the project car though.

That's an awesome video, got any pictures of the whole car?
