I thought i'd start a new thread with the details in here, please feel free to discuss anything or make suggestions, etc. I thought with the nicer weather a 10am meet would be good as it shouldn't be too hot by then.
Celica and Toyota Meet Details

Date: Sunday, 4th December 2005
Location: Footscray Park, Meyers Rd, Footscray (Melways Map 2 S Reference F 2)
Time: 10.00am.
Entry is from Meyers Rd (running off Farnsworth Avenue) . BBQ facilities are avaliable, so everyone be prepared! Meyers Rd is just next to the large bridge crossing the Maribyrnong Bridge. Follow the road past the Footscray City Rowing Club to the end where there are several carparks. Parking will be at the end next to the BBQ's.
It's not difficult to find if you have a Melways. It's between the University and Flemington racecourse. If you get lost, call me on my mobile.
Go-karting is also being planned for the evening/afternoon. Last time the cost was $30, so plan for that being the same. Please express your interest for this as we'll need to book with fairly certain numbers.
This place is surrounded by beautiful parks, so if anyone wants to bring along a football, frizbee or some cricket stuff it might provide us with some fun! 2 public BBQ's are avaliable for use, so please bring something along. Things like utensils, oil, bread, will be provided.
As always, anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. All Toyotas, Celicas and enthusiasts are encouraged to come down! Hope to see you all there!

Everyone is welcome to bring along food for themselves, it's pretty much a BYO thing anyway.
I'll organise the utensils and stuff, but it'd be good if everyone can bring along some food, too.
Does anyone want to post this on any other Toyota forums, etc?

Still building the 3t/2t hybrid. Cams are being ground as we speak. It'll be a push to be fully in and efi wired and tuned by the 11th. But we'll see how we go.

Yer its on the same day as the finals for the 2005 Drift nationals!
Might i suggest a date change if possible?
There is a few people that i know would love to come, me being one, but have commitments to keep at calder park for the day, servicing, tyres, etc etc.
Just something to think about,

Looks like it will be the 4th then?
Perhaps if we can get an idea on what people think and it can be organised for the week after anyway, even though as you say its close to chrissie.
BTW guys nice work on organising a meet, nice and consistent.

If we all think it should be on the 4th, we better have it decided by Monday.
Are there any problems with this date?
I think the 18th is too close to Christmas, as I know personally i'll be flat out with work and other commitments.

Eddie, just to let you know they require a 50% deposit on the booking. thats what i had to do last time. i think this time just ask them what sessions are booked and we'll try to come in between a session. else is anyone willing to put a deposit down?

Arranging the deposits might be the hardest thing...
If we make a booking of 8 people, can it be increased if we have more numbers? That way the deposit will only be $110 which isn't too much.

usually you can, but the thing is its harder to get more people after u get there. last time u remember how many people came and we had to bump my uni group back further. i was thinking if we got there early that day we jsut book it before the bbq. how does that sound?

Ok, Here's the deal with the karts. They currently only have two bookings made for the day(10am and 6pm). The girl I was speaking to said it's possible to make a booking straight up on the day first thing, without deposits! So, at 10.30 when we have confirmations of who will actually be coming karting and who is at the mmeting point - We just give them a ring and book in. Hopefully around the 3-4pm mark. Sorted.

mate can't come, just me... make sure the fat cart is there... all places have one or two... lil extra room, 1 extra HP to make the powah to fat ratio competetive
The last place over did the powah to fat ratio and I was caining the rest of the group by heaps, even a skinny lil bastard was no match
