All, does anyone know if there is a bellhousing available to adapt a W5x RWD box to the 2.5 litre camry V6 (the one from the early 90's)
Is there such a beast that anyones aware of, or, is it time to build one?

from what i've searched on ect folks seem to think the hilux use a R150 which attaches to the xMZ series of motor.
to get fairly specific here ; i'm thinking 2VZ - although i've read that maybe a 2S bell will suit.
don't really wanna run a R154 (too big)

S or Hilux housing will do you job. Almost. The starter will end up trying to get friendly with the head however, you need to do a little adapting. The 3VZE Hilux motor is a single cam per bank engine, and the heads are narrower.

i have a 3VZ R15* belhousing that i was planning to use with a 2VZ but i couldnt find a 2VZ! If you are interested give me a yell as i have no use for it. Also the R150 is out of the current 4.0L RWD hilux and uses an integrual bellhousing.
