I was just thinking that myself actualy. And I gotta go find a Shell petrol station or something to fill up before I get there. Stupid BP being out of ultimate. I don't even know where any Shell service stations are!

You don't want to be running through those roads in the wet because the combination of leaves + water + dirt makes them bloody slippery and not much fun to drive on at all.

yeah last night did not turn out too bad. i was pumped for the long trip but it would not have been good in the wet. at least i could lead in mount dandy and we kept it hazard free apart from the cops pulling over a certain sprinter

Argh...
I want to sincerely apologize to everyone about this. I put a whole week, almost 18-20 hours a day into getting my car running for this cruise.. Managed to drive the car from Eildon to Clayton (Around 180kms) no problems at all on Friday. But on Saturday the problems kept coming...
Saturday afternoon I gave Sam the call that my car could just not make it and that the cruise should be cancelled (I had no internet connection at the time). I then gave James (Viper) a call to come have a go at fixing my car. For some reason it started working beautifully again, but it wasn't to last, apparently I had some massive vacuum leaks in my manifold that would come on and off at certain times and it was causing some weird signals to the MAP sensor.
Anyway I had it temporarily running so I could get to the meet point, and what happens halfway to the meet? Boom, clutch carks it, so here am slamming the gearbox into gears the whole way back home. At this stage I completely gave up. With only 3-5 hours sleep each night for the last couple of nights, I was completely drained and just couldn't be bothered anymore. I chose a bad weekend to move house...
The engine now has another intake manifold on it and is tuned nicely. I replaced both my clutch master and slave cylinders and the clutch is working great. All my wiring has been ripped out and redone (The right way.. with a soldering iron...). Just figures that I couldn't have it running this great for the meet/cruise...
Again I want to say that I'm extremely sorry about the fuck around... Next meet/cruise I organize, I'll co-organize it with 1 or 2 other people, so if one can't make it, there will still be someone there with all the details.
