10% GST on total cost
15% Import tax on top of that total.

hey garth, don't think anyone would be able to pick up a mint trueno like yours for that price in japan. anyways i think your cars a bargin.
anyways the other day i was in box hill, a 17 year old aussie kid came up to me and ask how much i picked up my trueno for. i said 10,000. he goes guess what i got my trueno gtv for 18,000. he said he does all the importing and exporting himself. i am like hmm you must really know alot about importing. i asked him your car must come with something special and he said it comes with a 4AGE and the cars stock. then he started giving me shit about my turbo timer and where its sitting.

hahaha , and that why i don't drive my car in that area now . even with three in this street . There so many 17year old takumis out there all OWNING truenos too , shit there must be like 20 in this area by now . You should have just stabbed him that normal style for this area . Even happened in the main centro last week , in the middle of the food court midday . Nobody even bother making a fuss about it , so nobody would have even cared if he was there bleeding to death on the ground talking shit about OWNING a trueno . I bet he payed more because it was two tone Bloody wanabees everywhere atm .

I bought teh AE86 on Sunday!! When i'm sitting in it it feels like i'm in a ferrari or something, just all the history, the love that the car brings me, even though its sitting in my garage with an absolutely rooted 4AGE and wiring that looks like a bail of hay...
I love it...
What ecu are you using to fun the 100kw? i presume the 100KW... because it has a knock sensor or something...
Anyways, I finally got an AE86...

goddamn you're such a JDM whore garth jk, awesome car if I ever saw one.
the reason your agent fee was higher was that your car was in an area which wasn't near the port, so the internal transport fee was higher...
PS... my numberplates finally came in the mail... my ghetto modded sprinter will be wearing "BOR086" when it does its laps at Phillip Island two weeks from now.

Black sideskirts are awesome. I fitted mine to my car unpainted, and the plan was to get them colour coded after fitting them, but I changed my mind and left them black.
I ever did the panda bumpers just to keep the 2 tone look.
Just like Garths
It looks way better in my opinion. Doesnt make the car look like a wedge ie taller than it is long. Most of the 86s with colour coded kits look like this to me..

Yes it does, only on drivers side though passenger side is fine.
Is this a normal thing for his kits?
I thought my car might of been a bit dodgy as the panel beater who fitted my OEM sideskirts before that had to bash a quarter panel back to get them to fit
He didnt tell me about it either, that was the last time I left something like that to someone else.
It doesnt bother me too much, Im more worried about the "blue stone chips"! Always a trademark of a Streeter kit

Im sure somebody could think of a way of fixing the gap, maybe if you attatched the top of the skirt to the body instead of the bottom of the skirt it might work.
I just used some thick rubber stripping to fill the gap a little bit...

now now boys, the streeter kits are top notch, if you're picky and are anal (*cough* Garth ) about every fine detail, then you might wanna get genuine plastic kits, but streeter's kits are as close as you'll get to fine replicas.
My skirt did line out abit, the back end of PASSENGER side, so i'm not sure of the whole general view of the wonked mould. But nevertheless, a kits a kit, it will pay the price
