Lucas will go and check the entries in the P.O. BOx tonight and then again for the final time on Sat morning. Should be able to post up who has been recieved.
Also to note they may not help for a sown and shine but I will be showing off my brand spanking new 330mm front discs on Sunday.
And off the topic man does it pull up.

Things are looking good.
Bureau of meteorlogy is still predictig Sunday will be dry.
Sunday : Dry. Sunny morning. Partly cloudy afternoon. Moderate
westerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southeasterly change
during the afternoon.
This is from http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDN10064 .txt
Back to the important stuff though, we have a lot of really nice cars enterred. These range from restored classics to quick streeters and some really showy cars.
I can't wait.

The categories are as they are for a reason.
The best modern was set like that so people couldn't go out and buy a car today and enter it tomorrow,,, at least with the car being 8 years old it shows that it is well looked after and cared about!

And, I'm gonna have to fix that stupid "shopping trolly" dent on the rear passenger quarter. Stands out like a pimple on your nose.
Hey, what year/model was that import MR2 that won the Import award? It was a very shmick car.

I would just like to thank everyone that came.
People thanks us (the board) for running the day. But what makes the day was the 47 entrants that we had. The level of cars was unimaginable.
I must have spent 2 hrs walking around wonder who I was going to vote for in entrants pic.
So thankyou all for coming and supporting the day and we'll see you all at the same place on the same weekend next year.

Great day guys. Well done!
I'm glad my pestering paid off and James decided to bring the 'Lux out, it seemed to go down pretty well. Also lucky it didn't rain as I'm sure some of you noticed, it has no wipers!
Great standard of cars and that MR2 really tickled my fancy. A perfect example of how to modify the body of a car pretty radically, but keep it looking damn nice.
And the blue Corona wagon was just too neat!
Look out for more Sprinters at the next one.... I'm sure there will be quite a few interesting examples emerging from the woodwork over the next 12mths
Cheers,
Jeremy.

A Great day out guys, thanks to the board of Toymods for organising a fantasticly-run event. The level of cars there was beyond belief. Hopefully next time round I'll have my car a little more spec'd up with a better ECU and maybe even a better interior to show off.
Well done Toymods!

I'm happy you guys enjoyed yourselves at the show. I know I sure did.
Big thanks really have to go to Dav who put in a huge effort getting everything organised for us to be able to kick off the annual Toyota Fest in such a great way.
The number of entries and even more to the point the quality of entries stunned me. I was so surprised that we ended up with almost 50 competitors on our first effort. Great work.
The other thing that really blew me away was the diversity of cars and the amount of respect they got. We had everything from bone stock classics to drifters to sleepers and a full on low-lux there. I don't think I heard a bad word from anyone about other peoples cars all day.
Next year we'll definately be looking into having some club awards to try and get some more club displays happening. As well as that we'll look at the entrants we got this year and see if there are any more appropriate classes of trophy we should have much like we do with the Dyno days.
Lastly thanks to the centre management and the Police, they both came for a look and were extremely supportive of the event. To tell the truth we'll probably even have a Police choice trophy next year since we had a visit from a couple of officers who simply wanted to perve on the cars.

Tell me about it. Now according to my missus I have to keep on the look out for a MX23 or RT50 coupe and buy one as soon as I see it.
They were two of the highlights of the show for me, one brilliant retro-mod and one retro-original.

yep i wouldve loved to have spent more time there. i was coming back from a bike ride at dulwich hill skate park and remembered about the show, so we stopped in for a bit near the end when the trophies were being given out.
I also noticed that dark metallic green TA22. I was going to buy that car at the end of last year. its the one that was from erskine park right? Is there any reason why it was converted back to an auto?
Also If anybody out there knows who bought that metallic blue TA22 at the beginning of the year from that same direction (its the one that had the ladder dropped on the front left fender) you have to get that thing to a show!! that car was the most immaculate original condition TA22's ive ever seen (besides the dent).

yeah that was the celica my sister bought, the reason behind the gearbox change was the manuel box that was in the car when we bought was really stuffed, poped out of gears, crunched gears etc and my sister uses the car as a daily and se just thought she might aswell turn the car back to its original condition,it came out with a auto to start with
we also saw that blue ta22,we were gonna buy that but it got sold before we had the chance to look at it and also we didnt think it was that original considering the colour we didnt think that, that type of blue was a standard colour, looked like a rav4 blue
here is a pic of the blue ta22
we are always on the lookout for a mint ta22,for me then there will be four

What a great Day !
I really do want to thank everyone that came along and made the day what it was. No matter how much planning and preperation goes into these events, its the attendance and the cars that enter that make the difference between a good day and a great one. It was especially great to see such a large number of cars from outside of Toymods, I need to check butI actually think more trophies when to non club members than otherwise.
I have to say that Judging the event was a long way from easy and Josh and I had some really difficult decisions to make in a number of the categories. I'm sure Dave will have the offical results up soon hopefully with a pic of each of the cars so those that missed it can see the calibur of the cars on show.
Next years will hopefully be bigger and better and we have already secured more of the car park for the event

Man, it was a bit concerning! I managed to position my car between the cop and James and everytime they slowed down, I slowed down etc...
Got home without a problem. It's completely engineered, but I'm sure they would have got him for something!
