it was wet in practise and I hit a wall, and then it dried up for qualifying and the tyres i had on the rear were way way too sticky for the dry...

well I picked up the new dubs today and what can i say...
they definitely have a high blang blang factor and are gonna look sweet on my car...
we test fitted them too my mates FC...it looks like we might have to crank some serious guard modification on the soarer...ah well
nothing a little 100mm worth of bolt on flares cant fix

well last week me and the team started to pull down the soarer, the first thing to come off was the front guards as they will no longer be needed
removed the motor and gearbox in order for the new 1.6mm cometic 4 layer HG complements of raceflo to go in and to also install the new turbo, manifold and wastegate...
currently my motor looks like this:
and the old HG
I was quite suprised too see that my 5 puck extreme clutch was nearly destroyed as well
such a shame as i had only had it in the car for around 5 months
Painted the engine bay matte black too, there will be no more white on this car, all white areas are being changed to matte black:
Here is the manifold and external gate:
I managed to score the manifold for free as its an RB25 manifold but ADCO race engineering have already secured me some stainless steel 1JZ flange plates so we can modify it and we are also going to brace the fuck out of it too

That'll happen if you are revving the engine quite high and dropping the clutch, ie. drifting. A clutch is just one of those things that you'll have to keep on replacing, especially with a angry big single turbo

yeah im pretty over it...
when the dash comes out for the cage we are gonna drill holes in the firewall to be able to get to the top gearbox bolts easily as currently due to the position of the engine it would be very very difficult to remove the gearbox without dropping the engine...

Cool, If only it was that easy with every car... I hate undoing those damn bolts up the top. It's easier with a good socket set but still a pain. Even worse when you need to use an open ended spanner to get the very top ones undone.
