ok guys regarding the h&r spacers if there are more than 3 buyers we can get the spacers for 250 each.. (the normal retail price is now 290.. price rise apparently) this includes gst but not delivery to our doors just to their office in sydney..
if we order them before thursday well get them next week otherwise its 5-6 weeks til next shipment
to put it bluntly im not sure its worth the hassle for a saving of 25/40$ (depending on the price at that point in time).. basically im not gonna come up with the cash in the next 2 days but for any of you guys that are ready to go email michelle and im sure you'll be able to work it out
TCCAMotorsport@aol.com is the email address they use
i think ill be more likely to buy myself a set in 5-6 weeks and also have the cash a bit more available?

The thing about spacers is that it isn't needed straight away. You can get them anytime.
And... if you havn't already noticed, its only the GT4 boys that notice the odd rear wheel distance. Everyelse just looks at the 'tucked in wheel look' which i like.
Although i think ill be forced to run spacers with my new wheels.

i have a very important note for those looking at whiteline kits for the gt4's.
price stated on website for sports pack, which includes shocks and springs all around:
website: $1,579.00
now when u give those part numbers to bursons (includeing tax so cheaper if ur a trader):
$870 all up!!!!
i even called whiteline personally to see how much there rear swaybar was, and i was quoted $220.
gave the part number to bursons: $165.
all i can say is im appauled, and feel sorry for any1 who payed direct prices from whiteline!!!

well bursons have no idea what it is, they still get it from whiteline, its just that they do it cheaper.
im at the point of deciding wether to just replace my left shocker and get all my bumpstops replaced along with bushes, or just say screw it and get the whole kit.
can some1 tell me what they think of there whiteline kits? is it a comfortable ride or really hard? much improvement over standard? i wana know all the pros and cons, dont be afraid to write me an essay!
much appreciated!

short verdict on the whiteline geear - excellent for street , springs MAY be a little soft for track , but its yet to be tested
and why would you buy just 1 shock ? buy the pair ya cheapskate ..
and toobs means the "works" kit DOESNT include bumpstops i believe.
Im pretty sure you still need em , but seperate

Yep thats what I meant... the works kit doesn't include bumpstops or control arm bushes.
You may want to purchase urethane items and replace these while you're doing the suspension.
Also for suspension settings the following have worked great for me:
Front
Toe: Out 0.3mm per side
Camber: 1.2deg negative
Koni dampner: half a turn from max
Rear:
Toe: In 0.3mm per side
Camber: 2.0deg negative
Koni dampner: 1 full turn from max (approx middle of the range)
Next time I do an alignment I might increase the front toe a bit (maybe 0.5mm a side) as I still think theres more in it!

Just something to be aware of....the whiteline spring rates are SOFTER than the stock GrpA springs. When i had my whiteline setup i sent their original springs back and had them custom wind me up a stiffer set.
All quality gear but just make sure it's actually what you want.

According to this page yes: http://www.alltrac.net/tuning/springfaq.html
According to Whiteline the spring rates of their works kit are 172lb/in front and 157lb/in rear... and their measurements of the OEM springs show 150lb/in front and 140lb/in rear.
Either one of the two have got it wrong or Whiteline increased the spring rates on later revisions of their kits.

according to there website, none of the kits have bumpstops, they are an extra item only. how the fuck can they sell a shock without a bumpstop on it! does any1 not have the bumpstops on there kits?
and yes i will be getting the control arm front bush kit for the front. apparently there is a rear inner set of bushes for the fron to tho isnt there? does whiteline only give u one set of bushes?
i just want to replace all the bushes on the front, does any1 have a list of the extra bushes i would need besides the front control arm bush kit from whiteline?

The 3rd option TOOBs is that the GrpA has a higher spring rate from factory than the OEM non GrpA spring they used....quite likely as that's a US based site isn't it and they didn't get the GrpA. Anyways, definitely the case for my car and it was running what appeared to be stock factory suspension.

Well i know my whiteline ones were alot stiffer than the stock ones taken from my car , but alas , they arent group A items ..
group A's definantly did get a sportier spring , but yeah , mine feels pretty solid on the road, and not overly bone jarring , how i like it - so they do the job , for now

The only thing i did in terms of 'lightening' was take the tools out and the spare. The rest of the 'fat' was left on. (running 1/4 tank of fuel)
Next time i go out, ill take out the sub and the back seats, possibly the passenger seat as well, and go for another run. I reckon i could get a 13.5 out of the car yet before going hardcore with fueling and ECU.
Always the option for some giggle gas, but thats cheating.

ok guys, we are gona go to mitcham branch of bursons on monday arvo as said above. i spoke to a guy there called tim, and he said the store manager has said we will get a good discount for a group buy.
what time is best for everybody? i know that blackgt4 has to drop his car off at toyospares in the morning, so lets say around 1pm ish if thats ok with every1?
we cant give any set prices yet, but just come down and see what kinda group discount we get! even if u just want a sway bar or something, chances are ur gona get a percentage off it anyways, just come on down.
post back here if ur gona meet up with us, or cant make it at 1pm.
by the way go to the whiteline website, click on ur car, toyota, gt4, and a pdf comes up with all the part numbers. part numbers are the same as bursons for whiteline, and the same products of course.
