the left is meant to be higher than the right, so you can see pedestrians and not glare oncoming traffic

you need to find a place that has a test pattern which is a line drawn on a wall that shows where the lights should come to, you park the car a certain distance away and turn the lights on and then turn the adjusting screws until the lines match.

the only time headlights usually come out of alignment is if the car has had a stack... however with retractable lights, theyre allways coming out of adjustment for obvious reasons.

Great news. Took the car in to a friend today at Carl Jedamzik Automotive and the oil is from the distributer O-ring, I already have the replacement part (thanks to a certain champ) so I will be roadworthied tomorrow!!!

On to the registration, what do people think of personalising the plates to read "SX 1992" ? I don't reckon they'd approve "CELICA" because it is trademarked.

WAKE UP TASSIE, WAKE UP!!!

"MOOKIE" would be cool!

I can't get "RAINEY" because a red 1994 Celica is already getting around with it! How about that ay!? I could go for "NIXON" tho, but I don't know that I'm big on nicknames as my plates coz ya always get the spastic bogans that make fun of them as you drive past.

I've seen cars that have CRX on them.
so i'd assume "celica" would be fine.

Very Happy

Bad news about the plates, they need to be surrendered in order for me to receive the receipt to claim the rego. How about I get a band-saw and hack a corner off of you!? Evil or Very Mad

Disappointing though or I would have sent you one back!

In other news today, I was awarded staff member of the month. I never get shit like that! Shocked

Hey guys, sweet ride Rainey

Word of advice, give the poor guy his plates back! Its easy... what you do is, you walk into service tas, say you've just bought the car down from the mainland and that someone has just stolen the plates! They will then give you a form to sign saying that basically if you've just lied and they find out your in trouble! Sign that, pay the $25.05 (i think) and they will give you new plates on the spot! Hey presto! So why not...

Great news TRD_Supra!

Aaron, I hope the GT-Four pulls through and only lightens your wallet a fraction! Where do you get her worked on? I've been into Autocraft and they look pretty respectable for high-performance vehicles. I have never used them though.

They aint gonna believe me that my plates were stolen! The car is always kept in a secure parking lot and off the street, what would anyone want in some mainland plates? I'd end up forfeiting my right for the payout of the rest of the rego. If I didn't have so much rego to claim then I wouldn't have anything to lose.

I should be roadworthied in an hour or so!

Yup! No more leak.. No more oil on the outside! They re-did the advanced timing and all. I get looked after in there, my RW was done by a friend and he knows exactly how I feel about my car (the same as he feels about his Porsche 911) so he made sure he was the only one that laid a hand on my beast and things got done properly. It's nice when you know the owner of an auto repair yard that specialises in Merc's, Porsche and luxury cars... You know you can trust them as well.

The plates are off the car and sadly I will be handing them both in tomorrow and collecting my new ones. Not personalising just yet, might see how I go first.

I took it into Toyospec, the guy in there is great and knows his stuff (although he didn't do anything to the car because he had to order all the parts). He didn't charge me for looking at it though.
The guy that owned my car before me always took it into Autocraft or Howell. For getting mods installed (eg ECU) I'd do the same but for a general service Toyospec is great.

it all depends tho, like toyospec and all them tend to get parts from the other places then charge a fee. For Example; i rang them about my Steering Rack i also rang Co-Op just to get a ball park figure.. anyway they where both around $850... yes thats right $850... i have mine done for $740 sooo just goes to show u ey!!!

I'll have to check out Toyospec some day, they sound alright. Where abouts is there premises?

I went to Service Tas this morning and surrendered my old plates and got my new ones (nothing personalised just yet). Put them on the car prior to work today so I'm done!

FD 5516, I got to pick from the ten running numbers and six is my favourite number so I went with that. I like the orange rego stickers.
