My 99 supra had 140amp fuse stock !
Soarers / older supras have 120 amp.
Then again my skyline had i dont know but had an 80 amp alternator.

well, string comes in many shapes and sizes ... my current bit o'string is pretty pissy and doesn't like high revs too much even tho it's underdriven... tends to fatigue crack the solder at the field diodes and last time i pulled it, the solid copper wires between the diodes was starting to fail so it was replaced too.. kinda fun ripping them apart and attacking them with a 100W soldering iron...
the early bosch ones cut in at 1500rpm and go to about 15000rpm, whereas the later snazzy looking bits o string cut in about 2000rpm and rev to 18000rpm.
basically just trying to compare what string everyone else has on their cars before investing in a bigger one.
currently looking at 80-90A commondore ones, as they still have decent output at idle/low revs. A stock sized 55A one would have been much easier to fit, rather than the hassle of dragging out the welder to make more brackets...
thanks for you quick response guys
