Quick question guys,
I have been offered a rwd 4age, but it is missing the flywheel, starter motor, water pump and oil pickup in the sump.
What I want to know is can I use the flywheel, starter motor, water pump and oil pickup in the sump from my current 4ac in the 4age or not.

if its a REALLY old 4age, then the flywheel might fit (AFIK the early 4AGEs have 6 bolt flywheels too).
the 4AC has a six bolt flywheel, most 4AGEs have 8 bolt flywheels, so unless you only want to use two bolts, the answer is probably not.
i'll assume this is for an AE86,
the starter motor bolts onto the gearbox bellhousing, so i'd hazard to guess that it would fit too.
the water pump from the 4AC will fit on, pretty sure of this.
dunno about the oil pickup, but there should be spares lying around from other engines, or you could get one made up maybeye.
if you get get the engine for 20 bucks, go ahead and just chase parts when you need to.

Thanks shinybluesteel, it is for an ae86 but wont be put in for a while as i want to completly rebuilt it first. Just for the learning curve, as I have never completly rebuilt one before. Once again thanks for the input.

*starter motor will fit, i'm using the 4ac one in my 4ag.
*water pump off 4ac will fit but you may need to modify the inlet hose thing to clear the alternator, nothing hard.
not sure about the oil pickup, but they wouldn't be expensive and you can always try the 4ac one when you get the 4ag.
as for flywheel, like shiny said, chances are that you will need a new flywheel.
hope this helps dude.
