I'm looking a replacing the factory rear muffler on my car with a striaght through type one.
Having never bought a rear muffler only before, I'm wondering what kind of cost for a polished straight through type is reasonable?

Heya,
A polished straight through muffler doesn't really come into the realms of 'reasonable' muffler cost..
you can get a nice straight thru for maybe $80, or you can spend a couple of grand.... if you are after the polished look, just set a $ value and get the one you think is nicest for those dollars. or oyu could spend far less on a less shiny one

I'll take my standard-looking muffler any day
doesn't attract unnecessary attention from cops, and doesn't sound uber-loud till you're at speed-limit breaking revs
