I think a similar crown ute to those was available here? maybe slightly later. I've seen something very close, looks like a japanese version of an XR falcon/ranchero ute. I'd love to see a nicely restored shovelnose corona ute though!
That mooneyes, they used ot have some real mad cars, like a 307 chev powered datsun 1000 2 door wagon

However also crusing the jap sites and seeing those late model crowns im almost ready to sell the 68 and buy a 90+ model. Im sure that that the crown pic that giant tommato put up, that car was going for arond about the $9500aus mark. What 2 or 3 grand shipping and compliance and you have one mean car for $12 $13 grand.
