gze bottom end with 20v head, t3-4 turbo boosted to 15psi should be good for 300hp... just ask tony rigoli performance, they built the fastest fwd in australia but then sold it but they pulled 405hp at 18psi i think.... so its a good combination..

Ahhhhhh hahahahahahhaaaa!!!

Just for a little bit of input.....

a. Make sure he has plenty money and OVERBUDGETS and I really mean overbudget!!

b. Make sure he can drive first!! Very Happy

And the most important one of them all.....

c. Remember kids..... it is very very VERY easy to overpower the AE86 chassis!!

I can keep on going on but I will shit you to tears for sure!

I personally like the idea of....

* GEN III 3S-GTE
* W58 Surpa Box
* Full whiteline suspension
* 4 Point Roll cage
* Carbon fiber racing seats w/ harneses
* R31 Skyline diff + brakes w/ KAAZ LSD Center
* Celica GT4 Brakes up front with 4 Pot calipers
* 16x7" rims with fat some sticky rubber Smile Esp on the rear.

And some seam welding + urithane filled chassis (door rails and stuff, adds about 45% strengh apparently)...

There is of course plenty of little niggly things but that should make for a reasonably quick car ;p

get rid of the whiteline suspension
DMS or Bilstein all the way, if you are going that far...

DMS or Blistein for just springs/shocks or for swaybars etc too...

Be a little more specific ;p I was going for the polyurithane bushes + swaybars etc... but was a little unsure as to the suitability of the whiteline spring + koni shock combo? i.e. stiffness...

stick with toyota engines

sr20's are powerful but you can overpower the chassis as speedie says

3sgte would fit > but only just
to make it fit you need to move the engine mounts forward and over the fornt wheels, destroying the natural balance of the AE86

although id go with a blacktop or a 100KW 4age with the works

silvertops are weak and 86kw bluetops are OK but 100kw's are better

if your hell bent on forced induction maybe try a 4agte (a GZE with turbo instead of supercharger)

as shcao would say

ROCKON! Very Happy

personally if i was to do another project AE86 i would use a gen III 3SGE a 3S turbo is too powerfull (IMHO) for a AE86 chasis (they have enough problems keeping the GT4 chasis together in the rally cars) a small set of cams in the 3S would give more than enough useable power

What makes you think that you need to move the engine mounts forward to mount the motor?
