Continued From Part I...

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-beachball-flat.jpg

I can only imagine what they were doing to this poor beach ball before Joel got his hands on it... let's "try" and pop the beach ball.... Up To Something

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-beachball-half.jpg

"Joel, give her some more juice!!!.... MORE!!!"..... a few pumps of the throttle later...

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-beachball-full.jpg

Uhhh, Joel? Is that a multi-coloured cyst growing off your car's rear-end, or perhaps a beach ball that just won't burst?? Very Happy

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-beachball-inside.jpg

Well, we couldn't quite get the ball to pop, but it did melt somewhat around the edges of the exhaust pipe. But still, from looking inside the ball, crikey... what crap is on the bottom of your fuel tank, Joel? Smile

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-clkwrk.jpg

Joel's ride.

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-clkwrk-enginebay.jpg

Joel's engine bay - very tidy.

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-uh-oh-1.jpg

Simon's ride.

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~skyfire/Toymods-uh-oh-2.jpg

Another of Simon's ride. Snazzy bit of kit... don't want no exhaust spray on the front now, do we Simon?? Very Happy

I'll be looking forward to the next meet I can drag myself down to.

Cheers. Wink

Hehe, nice pictures mate. Laughing Grin

How small do my wheels look in that side on picture though, I think some photo shopping might be in order...... (or maybe even go the whole hog & get new wheels Smiley $$ )

I don't think it looks as bad as you imagine - I'm guessing you can only gauge the size of the wheels because the tyres appear invisible in that shot, covered over by the shadow of the rest of the car.

But, if you wanna do a job, do it properly... 17" or bust, mate. Haha, 'bust'... if only that beach ball knew better. Very Happy

Cheers.

It's actually more of an orange, but that's an example of how different it can look with certain lights.
But thanks, it does look nice & shiny in those pics, the wash I gave it at 7am that morning paid off.

I think that different types of digital cameras have a habit of reproducing colours differently.. lol.. happy to say my cheapo one is much more accurate hehehe Razz Grin

That is why I'm sticking with my SLR and haven't bought a digital camera yet... The colour reproduction in digital cameras SUCKS!

The problem is that during my travels in America, I took over 700 photos... Now I have to get them developed (will cost me over $200) and then scan them in..... hehehe

lol - that sucks a bit. (will you actually be scanning them yourself this time though?? Razz)

to be honest, even though I Heart my digital camera, if i was going to be doing any extensive travelling, I'd be getting a much better camera (and probably one that uses film!) Grin

BTW, developing cost is gonna be $330.... Disgusted

Your car is an orange pearl, isn't it Joel? That would explain a few things...

Also, I think the reason why it looks red in the pics I took is because when I scanned them onto the computer, I turned up the contrast about 1/10th over normal, because the standard pics looked faded. They don't now... I could change Joel's car from Orange to Burnt-Orange to Vermillion if I wanted to, but it all depends on the light source as well. Even though it was an overcast day when the photos were taken, the flash didn't kick in - or there was too much light for the flash to override.

You can also tell by Simon's car too - the road looks heaps darker than it normally is, and the wheels have hardly the lustre that a normal chrome wheel would have. And the number plate - it's a dark-yellow (in fact, almost orange) instead of the normal yellow you see on custom-plates.

Next time I'll leave the contrast the way it normally is. See how they turn out then.

I know the pro Nikon digital SLRs (D1X, D1H) all cost in the range of $10k up - for the body only Cry . Nikon now has a D100 which is digital yet costs "only" around $5k for the body.

Nikon D100

Everyone knows that Joel's car is really pink. It's his favourite colour hehehe

Though I liked it better when he sprayed it blue.

If you stare at it for a few seconds, it looks like the car's actually hovering on a bit of black vapour 2" off the ground.

Maybe one day cars will hover, but I think our Toyota's are made for road-holding. (except maybe the drifter's... Wink )

Cheers.

Oooh, sam, thanks for the 18" mags, they look unreal! That's just moved up a couple of places on my list of things to do, 'bigger mags'.
And thanks matt for the paint job, the pink isn't too bad Wink Razz but I think I'll stick with the orange. You could have used the pic with the bigger wheels though!
I'm gonna have to do some of my own digi mods one of these days, I wanna try some white 6 or 7 spokes, and edit out me & the bootlid....... (hint Wink hint)

BigFella, the paint is actually just a basic solid colour, no pearl or anything. I had to pick it from a fan deck of about 500 different oranges & yellows, so I just picked the brightest orange of the lot. It must have a crap load of pigment in it.

Draven, it cost 2 grand with me doing alot of the work. I recently outlined the details in a thread, do a search on paintjob, or just look down the page, it can't be far.

Haha, mkaaaayy.
You should really start off with a better pic, but after a quick trip to Matt's Dodgy Backyard Mods .......

http://img2.ranchoweb.com/images/whitegze/celica1.jpg

Like the brake upgrade performed by MDBM hehehe Dodgy spray job though.

How about a purple spray with some slightly larger mags.

Love the purple... it looks absolutely SLAMMED like that with the huge-ass rims. And the purple indicators at the rear look slightly illegal, but fancy nonetheless.... Grin

And how about the fat discs and upgraded calipers... Joel that definitely looks the goods. <hint> Wink

Although I think Mr. Kubrik would be slightly insulted at "a CLKWRK Purple"... Confused

Cheers. Smile
