Im possibly getting a 18R-C motor. and i believe the 18R-GEU head has bigger ports and having the high comp pistons in a 18R-GEU is great. can this operation be reversed by putting the 18R-GEU head on the 18R-C motor.

long answer - not without a level of work and price of parts that would FAAAR outweigh purchasing a complete 18R-GEU or 18R-G.

The up timing chain is completely different. The 18R-G's are twincams, not single. The pistons are different..... ahh there's a multitude of subtle differences

It would just be easier and cheaper to buy a complete 18R-G.

Hey juzzo did that motor start to get a bit noisy at all when u were driving it?? cos when it finally was ready to go, it started first time but died after only a couple of minutes.. it had so much slack in the timing chain that the inlet valves had been hitting the pistons.

We just got all the new gear together and the head should be back on real soon, havent even had it up and running properly yet! new chain, in. valves and gaskets should be better i hope.
Oh and when i had a look at the pistons they had slight 4mm domes in them, which hints that they are the -8825x items, ive got photos somewhere..

We had some 4mm domes too and calculated the compression to be approx 8.7:1.
