I used just a carby fuel filter.. Figured its gotta be ok as has filter paper in there and an in/out.

My engine has hardly any blow by, im yet to see anything go into the filter yet. Only problem I could see is that its small and if engine has a lot of blow by might fill up quickly.

Cheers
Joel

coool, thanks for the link 'punkdefender'. best article i have seen yet about it. i'm going to make up one from steel, much easier migging than tigging.
although their price of $200 is a little high, it looks like they do a good job. you could prolly do it for $100 if you buy and prepare the materials yourself and organise tigging thru an engineering workshop. they charge about $50-100 an hour for welding, but it'd take them maybe 15 minutes to do...

and that's a nice swirlpot they got there, offset pipes going in and all so it'd actually 'swirl' like most pots don't.

would ppl be interested in doing a groupbuy for materials for staino catchcans or swirlpots? surely most of us have a mate that can mig or tig stainless....
