Prizes....do they ever turn up? Sat, 21 June 2003 06:18 Go to next message
Hi guys

A few months ago (about 8 or 9) I got the letter of the month in Hot 4's and I still haven't recieved my prize. I've rang them many times, left emails and even spoken to the boss at the Brisbane Auto Salon with no luck as yet.

Should I just give up and take it that Hot 4's don't really give out their prizes?

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I remember winning a SEGA Master System when they 1st came out and 2 years after I won without getting my prize an iron on transfer for a t-shirt came in the mail with a letter of appology!

Is this common or am I just unlucky??

i wouldn't put it past them as common practice........ some of the employee's at good ol' Rice 4's really are VERY shady characters.

In my personal oppinion that is...

Rice 4's is a damn joke - 90% of trhe cars are plastic fantastics - made for looks - not go ..

Personally if your going to make a car look like the bat mobile - you might as well make it GO like a bat mobile ! 200KG of extra shit on the car will only make it go SLOWER no matter HOW big the exhaust tip on it is - and how loud the airfilter sucks ..

hot4's have some nice cars ( like Steve bignalls Gt4 , tim frosts Slick Ta22 etc ) that are definantly worth a look but alas - these cars have the grunt to backup how wild they may look ..

Oh well - i guess wannabe ricers have to get inspirationz from somewhere.

As for the prize - if they dont get your gear sent - false advertize the fuckers - ie court matter Smile

Keep this a secret (from Hot 4's anyway). I agree with all you guys and my letter was a "creative writing task" from uni that sounded too good to be just an assignment. I sent it in...actually 2 letters.....and one didn't make it and one got in.....and won.

Yes it wasn't true (how many really are??) but still doesn't give them the right to not send out the prize.

They were giving out a set of really cool guages worth $550 the months before and my letter "should" have won a few T-shirts and some stickers and I think a cap....better than a kick up the bum though....now I wish I did get the kick up the bum Rolling Eyes

I subscribed to Hot4s and never had any trouble recieving magazines, calendars, shirts and what ever else they sent me...

They were always on time and nothing wrong with them...

I'd say that you are just an unlucky one... Just keep hassling them about it and you should recieve your prize... Or even go to their head office which is located at Silverwater...

viagra - i used to run a mag, and it does take AGES for us to get our shite together and send ppl prizes (so much other stuff to do Sad )

keep hassling them, and you will probably get it eventually. i used to field LOTS of phone calls and letters from people who i hadnt sent prizes to yet. its not uncommon at all.

it sucks, yes, but you will get your stuff eventually. just keep on them.
