Snowboard trip for sale Wed, 02 July 2003 10:18 Go to next message
Definitely not car related. Posting in here as a last resort.

For reasons i'm not going to discuss in public, someone has had to drop out of our ski trip in two weeks time.. Because we pre-paid to get a good deal (quite a few months ago) she's now going to lose her money if we can't get a replacement to fill her spot.

The details are:

Date 13th - 19th July (Half day lift pass on 13th, leaving on the 19th)
Staying Station Resort Jindabyne

Package

$499 6 nights accomodation. Breakfasts and dinners included. 5 1/2 days lift passes. 3 days with lessons.
$108.75 board and boot hire.
$51 cloths hire.

Total $657.75

Obviously this would be negotiable if you have your own gear etc..

We're quite desperate to find a replacement, so please let me know ASAP if you're interested.

You can reply here, PM me, or send an email to pmbridge@bigpond.com if you're keen or want any further information.

At the moment I'd say $499 (will have to check).

I don't think we paid any extra on top of our lift passes to get the lessons, as it was all packaged.

Someone else has been trying to organise the time off work and is 2/3 of the way there. If he can't arrange it, and you're still interested, you're next in line. Cool

Are the prices up the top the prices you payed??

My mates organised a ski trip for the exact same time but for less days to the same place and after telling them a million times we are getting ripped off they still couldn't see it we are paying $1600 each!!!! I am going to ring them up this second and ask them what the hell are we going to get for $1000 more than your trip!!

I'm pissed off now.

Planned and pre-paid months in advance.. Worked out quite cheap IMO when you consider that lift passes are normally about $80 a day i think... But it's always a risk when you pay so far in advance that something will happen and you won't be able to get your money back. Shocked Confused

(btw Max - Thanks for convincing Quentin to come! Very Happy )

Oh geezzz...I'm really pissed off now. We planned 3 months ago. I kept on telling my mates that there has to be a better cheaper way but they said that it's because of the school holidays and they are more expensive. I've seen trips overseas for $1600

This trip had better be good.

Are you driving to the snow? We are driving to Canberra and bussing it to the snow. Might catch you guys there. See ya.

I'm pretty sure we were all paid up at least 3 months ago..

Viagra_cressida - how many people are sharing the accomodation? We've got 6-share, so that probably makes it a bit cheaper..

It was booked through OZ-Horizons (1800 248 824) so maybe you can give them a try for next year. Smile

I finally got my internet up and going again.

Our trip was booked 3 months in advance as well. We just got ripped off I reckon.

We had 4 people in a room (bunks) and what I was thinking while at the snow ... damn it would be expensive to have a family and go. THere was a family at the snow with us and it would have been a $6500+ holiday for them. Thats a lot of money for 5 nights!

I ended up having a good time there minus my friends...i have lived 2000k's from them for 8 months and didn't realise after meeting different people down south etc that i'd grown away from them. I spent the whole 5 days hardly seeing them...only breakfast and dinner times. I met a great girl from Chicago and hung around her most of the time so that was cool.

I saw on Getaway just the other night a trip to St Moritz in Switzerland including 6 nights accomodation (extra night to us) and flights over and some meals for $2500!! I would have rathered to go there than where we went for about the same money!! IMAGINE ST. MORITZ!!!!!!
