I was wondering if anyone knows much about getting your guards rolled, flared, pumped - whatever.

I have 225 16's on my corona and am experienceing some rubbing when i come hard into a corner.

I know that when you get them rolled the push the lip on the underneath of the guard in so it doesnt chew your tyre.

But does anyone know of anything else i can do to help this?

ps. I want to lower it to (doubtfull) Very Happy

You could flare the guards (exxy), you could 'pump' the guards (bodgy), you could try narrower tyres and you could try a different offset wheel. My 205 50 16s are on a +40 offset 16 x 7" wheel and I have never experienced tyre rub (even at Honda corner at Phillip Island) on my Mk2.

I converted to a 5 stud so I use AU Falcon wheels/mags.

Yeah dude, it is legal. They appear to have revised the laws over here slightly, the rims need to still be the same size, but you can have up to 20mm difference in tyre width front-rear.

rolling guards is simple.. do it yourself.. all you need is a baseball bat or a piece of pipe of the same characteristics.. put it between tyre and guards and roll the back and forward..until desired efect..
like you guys may think its dodgy.. but seriously have u seen how they roll guards... it pretty much the same idea just using a "special built tool" .. so yeah.. up to you.. depends if u wanna waste ur 30-60bucks/wheel or not i guess..
there you go.. my two cents Very Happy Very Happy
