Well after numerous phone calls i have found a place in perth that will make up drop tanks for cars, i also found a place that makes universal ones (about $500 - $600, but if you get a differnt fuel tank you have to get it approved or you will get an ugly yellow sticker.
if anyone wants any info let us know.

Have you tried 'K & N Fabrications' in Canningvale. They can make all that sort of stuff and can certify it for road use so you wont get a yellow sticker !!!

fat arse fuel tanks that you can generally see from behind the car.
here's a not so good pic
You can see it on the TKR and Castrol Commodores there just. I want to get one for my car, they look damn cool. I wouldn't want it to be too huge tho.

Is there much use to having one?
Or is it just more fuel storage\bogan rice? factor

more storage plus coolness factor. Would be practical factor for me to, as I would get it done when I did an engine swap, so I'd get a full EFI system put in

Yeah they look the bees knees.
and the dude i'll be getting mine done at gets them certified.
My fuel tank already drops down so i reckon mounting will be easy.
Leave it to the pros i think.
You wouldnt want to put a hole in your new drop tank unless it for speed hole purposes

Baffles are lots of "walls" that direct the fuel into a particular area of the tank no matter if you accelerating, braking or turning.
