I remember reading something about this a while ago.. My question is , has anyone heard or have any information in regards a JZA80 Supra (MK4) that came standard with the 1JZGTE (2.5 from MK3/soarer) ??? I remeber reading that it did, in 1993, in an aero top.. i just cant find the site again.. If anyone knows anything about it please let me know.. thanks in advance..
No, the JZA80 came with 2JZ-G(T)E engines from 1993 onward. I know of a conversion where they put a 1JZ-GTE into a NA JZA80 because the 1JZ package was more affordable than a Supra TT front cut.
I think I saw it in a HPI magazine about a year or so ago.
