G'day guys,
I'm thinking of getting a Rhino GTS installed...
Has anyone got one of these?? and what do you think of them??
Anyone heard any bad things/good things about them???
I saw an ad in the trading post to get it installed for $230...

g'day mate,
i have a rhino GT or GTS (one of the two) in my rolla and it works fine.
Good shock sensor, heaps of features (but i find it hard to program with the remote)..
THey are great value for money and relatively easy to install.

I got one in my Sprinter, works ok i suppose. Mine has a weird chirp, sounds funny. The range of the remote isn't that great either, although it might be a flat battery in the remote.
Doesn't false alarm much at all, only when a 180sx went past it and BOV'd it. And the programming bit I can't work out. Maybe that's just me though, I want the indicators to stay on after I disarm it, but i can never get the sequence right.

The only bad thing about them is they don't have code hopping, which makes them a lot cheaper too.
But if someone cares enough to set up a code detecting frequency to steal your car, then they deserve it . or they would probably work out a way to steal it no matter what alarm you put in it.

The web site states that it has "2 x Code Hopping Remote Controls ( Anti Scanning, Anti Code Grabbing)"
As you said tho, if someone really wants to steal my car... they'll find a way
