Hi Y'all

Wondering if anyone's used Gentech in Mitchell for any of their modding, and if they're any good...

Doing my 1980 KE55 4door... with a S5 13BT Shocked (yeah so much for the toyota theme, but hey... Wink

I'm looking to get the brakes, suspension and diff done, mainly because I know bugger all about how to do suspension and brakes myself!

and the engineer (John Wilson) said I need 4 wheel discs and a strengthened diff...

Hmm... thoughts anyone? or alternatives that have been proven worthwhile?

Cheers

physh

Ring Central Diffs in Victora about your diff. They did a Borg Warner LSD 78 series for my ke30 and where definitely the cheapiest that i found. Hopefully because they did mine they might have made a jig up for ke30/55 and therefore making yours even cheaper.

Whoops, plus you can also upgrade your brakes at the same time. I got Pintara rear discs put on mine and they also have the same stud pattern. You will just need to get new suspension plates made up to fit the larger U-bolts, hand brake cable made up(dont ask since i havent even enquired about one yet) and a new brake line to connect the new capliers to the existing brake lines. Best of luck

I've spoken to someone who gives them a good wrap for holdens.
A friend of his got his engine worked, like 6 grand worked and it turned out very good.
But then again they are a holden shop arent they?
I dont know if i'd trust them with my toyota but they might be worth a shot.

I hear M&A Engineering in Mitchell (i think) are really good with diffs. Worth giving them a call. Could you please send me some pics or info of your 13Bt corolla when it's done. thanks André

Yeah Physh, I got a bigger diff for my Celica done at M&A, and they were great! very cheap, and the did a bloody good job. I'd recommend them to anyone. And yes, they are in mitchell!

They can do pretty much anything, as when i was there i saw a full-on Escort drag car being built in their workshop...for a customer!!
